Libraries
Large central libraries exist on all three Amrita campuses. The libraries have tens of thousands of books, several thousand project reports and hundreds of journals. There are CDs, DVDs and online journals. Interlibrary loan is possible on a per-need basis.
All three libraries use a Library Information System. They feature fully automated catalog and search capabilities.
Several departments have their own departmental libraries as well.
Digital Library Vidya

Vidya is Amrita's digital library with several terrabytes of content. What began as a modest digital information repository in 2001, in an attempt to tap into the vast sources of high-quality learning and teaching material available on the worldwide web, is today a huge repository of high-quality content to facilitate learning and teaching. Vidya's multimedia presentations and video lectures are especially popular, overall the portal sees 65,000 visitors and 10.25 million hits in a year.
Hostel Accomodation
Residential students are housed in single-gender hostels where they benefit from the availability of extra-curricular enrichment activities such as yoga and meditation as well as sports and study facilities. Delicious vegetarian meals are served three times a day in student dining halls. Students also have the option of eating in the canteen and/or juice stall on payment.
Each campus has a prayer hall and one or more stores, well-stocked with school and household items. Amenities vary by campus and typically include a branch or ATM of Dhanalakshmi Bank, a tailor's shop, an internet café, STD/ISD phone facilities and a copy center.
