Workshop on Advances in Signal & Image Processing

May 30 – Jun 2, 2012                                                         Venue : Coimbatore Campus

The main focus of this workshop is to provide an opportunity for a multidisciplinary group of academic and industrial researchers, scientists, mathematicians, leading engineers, professionals, scholar students, to exchange and share their research ideas in the areas of signal and image processing. The workshop provides as introduction to emerging topics with required insight into mathematical concepts in signal and image processing.

FDP on Special Electric Machines & Drives

June 11 – 14, 2012                                                         Venue : Coimbatore Campus

The development of high speed switching devices and digital control technique led to the development on wide use of special machines. Non-traditional electrical motors such as stepper, switched reluctance, brushless DC motors etc. are being widely used today in position control systems, robotics, numerical control of machine tools and electrical vehicles, while linear induction and linear synchronous motors with or without levitation are being considered for every high-speed transportation.

Security of Internet of Things
International Conference

August 17-19, 2012                                                         Venue : Amritapuri Campus

With the advent of Internet of Things, there have been significant advances in the areas of computing, communication and control systems. The magnitude and impact of Internet of Things touches every aspect of human life as never before. The cars we drive, the planes in which we fly, and the trains we travel have hundreds of vulnerable networked embedded computers. New security threats have emerged with growth of cloud computing, smartphones, internet enabled medical devices and smart energy control systems.Tackling new security threats and preserving societal concord requires experts to rapidly develop “defend and repair” techniques.
