The Civil Engineering Department started in the year 2002-03. The Department functions as an allied Department to cater to the needs of the other branches. The Department started with one Professor & one Lecturer with BE (Civil Engineering). There was only one subject to be taught namely Engineering Mechanics during the first three years. Additional subject namely Environmental Engineering was introduced as a mandatory subject for all disciplines in 2006 and to take the additional workload, one more staff member with Masters Degree was appointed. With additional disciplines & Programs introduced in the last two years, one more staff member with Masters Degree was appointed in 2007.

Civil Engineering

With the growing demand for Civil Engineers, there is an immediate need for introducing the Civil Engineering branch and the management is getting favorably inclined to do so at our campus which is well suited for this purpose. Besides other obvious reasons, this campus has senior eminent staff, who have had long stint of services in reputed institutions namely Prof. MVK from MSRIT, Bangalore and Dr. Nagaraj BN from NIT Calicut guiding the department in setting up and developing the Civil Engineering discipline.
